Hi Folks It’s a whole new vibe here at Where Feng Shui Meets Fashion! New Set, New Moon! This is a video episode so for those of you listening on Spotify or ITunes, I highly recommend you check out the episode on Substack or my new YouTube channel also called Where Feng Shui Meets Fashion. Today I’m filming just after the new Moon on November 2 which happens to be Dia De Los Muertos or Day of the Dead. This period just after the new moon is an auspicious time for creating sacred space. I have been shifting a lot of energy in my environment to create a productive and supportive new setting for Where Feng Shui Meets Fashion! I am excited to finally be filming here in my living room and sharing the new set with you. I’ve been curating a space where I could film in my living room and host in-person guests. I got these 2 matching cloud chairs with this in mind. For those of you listening, They are these 2 cushy cream colored faux fur womblike chairs that sit low to the ground and allow you to sit Indian style if you are so inclined. My friends love them and so do my 2 cats. It took some time and planning to figure out the right setting and all the tech. You’d be amazed at how much goes into the tech of creating a set! Framing the shot in a flattering way that captures 2 people with a pleasing background, lighting the shot and getting 2 people miched properly for sound quality all while shooting on my IPhone! This is my fancy new blue tooth microphone!
Trust me there’s been a lot of trial and error! This was my most challenging Feng Shui puzzle to solve. That said, I can now interview guests for the show and you can look forward to those interviews in the coming weeks. I’m having Conversations with potential guests with an expertise in everything from fashion, feng shui, design, art, architecture, makeup, interiors, real estate, Crystals, Astrology, Aesthetics etc. I also really want to explore topics like Epigenetic’s and how our homes and wardrobes are telling a story, our stories.. I felt it was important for me to share my space with you and how I interact with my environment as a Feng Shui practitioner. I’m also going to continue to share my fashion with you and examples of Fashion Feng Shui in action as well. The location of my home where I will be shooting the show happens to be in the Children and Creativity Gua of my home which merges with the Career gua of my living room. Gua’s are energetic centers of the home that represent specific theme’s. The themes represented here are Creativity and Career so it’s the perfect nook for the show! Tonight I’m dressed in an all black lace aline mini dress in honor of day of the dead. Black represents Water element in Feng Shui. Water element is all about free flowing creativity and depth. The black feeds my soul while the lace represents metal element. The Metal Archetype speaks to precision and elegance and helps to command respect. The dress is short and tight so there’s a nod to fire and my spiky earrings and tiger print purse for the evening are pretty fiery. Fire Element commands attention and connection.
Check Out My Fiery Retro Statement Tiger Purse from Crossroads Trading! I got it for trade at just $25 and since it was for trade, I didn’t actually “pay” anything.
I love dressing with intention and allowing my wardrobe to serve a purpose above and beyond aesthetics. It’s a mindfulness practice which can help us all align with our goals and dress for success. Ok folks, I’m sending you all many blessings during this magical time of the year. I’ll see you next week. Ciao for Now!
